Rugby Victoria has today formalised a partnership with frozen yoghurt brand Yo-Chi.

The Australian, family owned business cements its relationship with Rugby Victoria through an innovative program designed to recognise and reward rugby achievers across all Victoria’s junior clubs.

From this season, all junior clubs will be supplied with Yo-Chi vouchers and will be recognising ‘Yo-Chievers;’ players whose actions best raise the standard of the team environment.

The Yo-Chiever winners are awarded a Yo-Chi product voucher, which can be redeemed at any of the six conveniently located Yo-chi outlets in metro-Melbourne.

“It’s wonderful to be aligned with a forward thinking brand like Yo-Chi,” stated Rugby Victoria CEO Chris Evans.

“Acknowledging the contributions of our young rugby players is an important step in promoting a community first approach.

“It’s this investment in the future that ensures our rugby clubs can flourish and players of all ages recognise the value they can bring to their community.”

The Yo-Chievers of the Week can be recognised for a wide spectrum of contributions to their team, from being a role model at training, assisting a teammate who may be struggling, or even just an outstanding performance on Saturday.

“Yo-Chi sets out to be a space where people of all ages feel equally welcome whilst offering a delicious and sustainable product,” said Evans.

“Rugby Victoria is looking forward to recognising our Yo-Chievers this season and promoting our youngsters who drive the standards in their team.“

Rugby Victoria will distribute the vouchers to Junior Coordinators before Round 0.
