The Dewar Shield Reserves Competition (2nd Grade) operates as the tier below Victoria's Premier Men's Competition, the VAILO Dewar Shield.

All clubs that compete in the VAILO Dewar Shield, compete in the Dewar Shield Reserves and Dewar Shield 3rd Grade competitions.
