Rugby Victoria has confirmed a ground breaking new partnership with VAILO, a leading LED sports lighting and digital display company, to further enhance the game of rugby in Victoria.
The partnership will see VAILO become the naming rights partner of the Dewar Shield for the next three seasons, as well as the annual End of Season Awards Night from 2023 to 2025.
VAILO will also support the Lindroth Cup Competition, the premier female rugby competition in Victoria, and provide state-of-the-art sports lighting and digital displays at the soon to be opened Victorian Rugby Centre of Excellence in Bundoora.
Rugby Victoria CEO Chris Evans was excited to welcome VAILO into the Victorian rugby family.
"We are delighted to join VAILO in this exciting partnership.”
"VAILO's commitment to supporting the Dewar Shield, the Victorian Rugby Centre of Excellence, and the Lindroth Cup Competition is a testament to their dedication to rugby in Victoria.”
“VAILO and Rugby Victoria share a passion for innovation, a commitment to sustainability, and a love for community sport, meaning VALO is an organisation that we are incredibly proud to collaborate with.”
“It is important that we stand out against our competitors and by having VAILO's LED technology and digital displays lighting up the Victorian State Rugby Centre, we are confident that we will enhance the rugby spectator experience and generate increased revenue for grassroots rugby, in turn, ensuring we are top of mind in the sports community.”
“We look forward to working with VAILO to create a brighter future for rugby in our state."
VAILO's ultra-high-performance LED lighting will significantly improve the playing conditions for rugby players and fans alike, while also helping Rugby Victoria reduce its environmental footprint.
VAILO CEO and Founder Aaron Hickmann sees the partnership starting at an opportune time.
"As we're on our own rapid growth trajectory moving into the eastern Australia market, we're excited also to be supporting the growth of rugby as we lead into what is being dubbed The Golden Decade, including the upcoming men's and women's World Cups."
"Quality stadia lighting and digital displays for enhancing spectator experience and generating increased revenue are crucial in grassroots and professional sport, and we're looking forward to profiling our Australian-owned and made product to the rugby community at the Victorian State Rugby Centre of Excellence."
