Rugby Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy Heathcote as its new Competitions Manager. Heathcote will officially commence his role on Monday, 23 February.
Heathcote joins us from Hockey Australia as their Events Manager and brings a wealth of experience in both events and competition management from a wide range of sports, spending time in Touch Football, Cricket, Netball and Volleyball.
Heathcote shared his enthusiasm for the new role and stepping into the Victorian rugby community.
“I bring almost fifteen years of experience delivering competitions and major events through my time at Hockey Australia and across various national and state sporting organisations. I’m excited to bring that experience to Rugby Victoria as I step into the role of Competitions Manager.
Throughout my career, I’ve managed the planning and delivery of large-scale competitions and events ranging from grassroots tournaments through to national championships and international fixtures.
I’ve led competition restructures, streamlining processes while consistently focusing on improving participation.
I’m passionate about creating well-run, sustainable competitions and ensuring an enjoyable overall experience for clubs, teams, officials and other stakeholders.”
We look forward to Timothy beginning his role on Monday 23 February.
