Victoria’s brightest young rugby talent is set to make memories that’ll last a lifetime, as the junior representative pathway tournaments are confirmed.

With squads now locked-in for the underage Victorian representative teams, players are now busy preparing for their series of matches played across numerous tournaments.

Heading to the sunny surrounds of Queensland is the U12 mixed team, as well as the U13 & U14 boy’s squads.

The U12 team will have high expectations, as their place at the Vending First Challenge Cup in Brisbane is confirmed, with the tournament running from 30 June to 2 July.

Less than a week later, the U13 & U14 boys will also be in the Sunshine state, participating in the SCSC Challenge Cup in Brisbane from July 7 to July 9.

Closer to home, the Victorian State Girls U14, U16 and U18 teams will be contesting the Youth Girls State Cup in Melbourne from 9 June to 11 June.

“The junior representative pathways represent one of the greatest talent identifiers for our community,” stated Rugby Victoria CEO Chris Evans.

“These tournaments are the first step for young boys and girls on their journey to representing the Melbourne Rebels.

“Beyond the rugby education they will receive, the state pathways offer a chance for players to expose themselves to top class coaching and elite tournaments whilst be able to establish friendships that will last a lifetime.”

To assist families with the cost of the representative programs, various fundraising initiatives have been created.

If you would like to assist the next generation of Victorian rugby players, we’d encourage you to make a donation to one of the Victorian Rugby Pathway programs.
