Roses are red, violets are blue, who will finish the season, in positions 1 & 2?
This seasons new comers Endeavour have swept all before them and are playing a really good brand of rugby.
Northern, Western Districts and Melbourne Uni look the teams to join them in the finals race but don’t discount Melbourne who are really starting to put together some good periods of play.
The other newcomers Moorabbin will also give some teams a fright on the way home as they adjust to the 15 a side code.
GRAND FINAL PREDICTION – Endeavour vs Uni
Brimbank sit on top of the table with a perfect 35 out of 35 points but they have been tested by a lot of teams.
Northerns resurgence continues, this sees them in second place with premiership newcomers Casey well placed in 3rd.
Wyndham head the chasing pack but any of the other 4 in Kiwi Hawthorn, Shepparton, Geelong and Melton are capable of climbing the ladder in the closest and most competitive premiership competition seen in many a year.
GRAND FINAL PREDICTION – Brimbank vs Northern
Another very tight competition with Shepparton still unbeaten despite a thrilling draw against Northern last week.
Cerberus and Maroondah battled it out for 2ndand the Toshy Cup last week which saw Cerberus take the prize and second place in a high scoring thriller.
Ballarat, Brimbank, Bendigo and Northern are all in hunt for a top finals birth as well whilst Monash and the Chargers are saving their batteries for a big final few rounds!
Strap in for a great finish to this comp.
GRAND FINAL PREDICTION – Shepparton vs Maroondah
The perennial big boys of the 2s comp Harlequins and Melbourne are again flexing their muscles at the top of the 2s comp and look the teams to beat.
Moorabbin and Power House round out the top 4 with Box Hill and Endeavour also eyeing off bigger honours.
Melbourne Uni will also finish fast and don’t be surprised if Footscray follow their firsts team and pull off a few upsets on the way home.
GRAND FINAL PREDICTION – Harlequins vs Melbourne
Surprise packet Power House lead the comp after playing some really consistent footy over the seven rounds and only dropping one game.
Harlequins are only a point behind with only one loss as well and comp heavyweights Melbourne haven’t had the start they normally have and sit in 3rd. Endeavour and Uni are battling it out for fourth spot and Moorabbin, Box Hill and Footscray are also not without their chances.
This is another really close grade.
