Rugby Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Reynolds to the role of CEO following an extensive recruitment process.
Marcus will join the Rugby Victoria team from early July, making the move from New Zealand with his family and taking over from interim CEO Anthony Wright.
With a wealth of prior sporting experience, Marcus has most recently worked as CEO for Forest Green Rovers Football Club in the UK. Prior to this, he has worked in CEO roles with the ASB Classic international tennis tournaments, Tennis Auckland and was a Zonal CEO for New Zealand Rugby League.
Rugby Victoria President Liz Radcliffe welcomed the appointment of Marcus Reynolds, following a lengthy selection process featuring a number of high-quality candidates.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Marcus to the Rugby Victoria team, introducing him to the community and working together to grow the game throughout Victoria” Liz said.
On his appointment, Marcus is looking forward to arriving in Melbourne and getting started with Rugby Victoria.
“I’m excited about meeting the clubs, staff, volunteers and partners involved in rugby across Victoria,” he said.
“Like any sport there are some challenges facing our game, however I see a huge number of opportunities that can drive state-wide growth in rugby.
“Having played all through school and university, I’m appreciative to the Rugby Victoria Board of Directors for providing me the opportunity to give back to the sport I love.
"Previously working alongside leading sports organisations from grassroots to elite level, I’ll bring a broad range of experiences and new ideas to the CEO role.”
Please join Rugby Victoria in welcoming Marcus Reynolds to the role as Rugby Victoria CEO.
