Rugby Victoria is pleased to announce its new partnership with the Women's Rugby Development Association (WRDA). As the premier women's competition in Victoria, the Lindroth Cup will now be known as the WRDA Lindroth Cup, this season.
The WRDA is Victoria's key advocacy organisation for all women and girls participating in contact rugby with a vision to provide an abundant support network to Victorian girls and women in Union. The Lindroth Cup has a long history in Victoria, and the new partnership with the WRDA will ensure its continued growth and success.
Rugby Victoria CEO, Chris Evans, said the partnership would provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase women's rugby in Victoria and provide further pathways for aspiring players and opportunities for administrators.
"We are delighted to welcome the Women's Rugby Development Association as the naming rights partner for the Lindroth Cup. The WRDA has been an integral part of the rugby community in Victoria for many years, and this partnership is a testament to their commitment to promoting and developing Womens game.”

Sarah Stone, the President of the WRDA, also spoke of her enthusiasm for the partnership, saying: "The WRDA is proud to strengthen its support of women and girls’ rugby in Victoria, and we are delighted to be partnering with Rugby Victoria for the Lindroth Cup. We believe this collaboration will help raise the profile of women's rugby and inspire more women and girls to get involved in the sport and take their game to the next level."

The 2023 WRDA Lindroth Cup will kick off on May 6th with the grand final scheduled for August 26, 2023.
