Brace yourselves for an unforgettable sporting spectacle as the much-awaited Bendigo Goldfields 7s tournament makes its grand return this Spring.
We are thrilled to announce that this exhilarating two-day event will take place on October 21-22, at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve, once more.
Open to men, women, and children of all ages, the Bendigo Goldfields 7s tournament promises a thrilling display of skill, speed, and strategic play. Teams from near and far are invited to participate in our marquee 7s event, showcasing their rugby prowess in the heart of Bendigo. We expect 40 teams, and 2000 spectators will attend the tournament across the weekend.
The event has been proudly supported by the City of Greater Bendigo since its inception in 2015 and without their unwavering commitment to grassroots rugby, the event wouldn’t be what it is, today.

"The cancellation in 2022 due to the devastating impact of the Victorian floods was disheartening, but we are grateful for the resilience of the Bendigo community and the Fighting Miners to bring back this incredible event."
Rugby Victoria is committed to building capacity within rural regions and our coaches will offer local primary and secondary school game development programs in the week leading up to this event.
City of Greater Bendigo Tourism and Major Events Manager Terry Karamaloudis said it was great to see the Bendigo Goldfields 7s back in 2023.
“The City is delighted to host the Goldfields Rugby 7s this October at our fantastic facilities in Epsom. The tournament is a great showcase for the sport and the two-day event draws huge crowds because it is so thrilling to watch and experience.”
Prepare to be captivated by electrifying matches, as teams battle it out on the field for glory and the coveted championship title. Spectators can also indulge in a vibrant carnival atmosphere and thrilling entertainment for the whole family. Team entries for the 2023 Bendigo Goldfields 7s will open in July.

The Bendigo Fighting Miners Rugby Club play in Rugby Victoria’s Championship competition. Epsom Huntly Reserve is the home of the Fighting Miners.
