The U14/U16 North Boys School 7s Gala Day was held at Northern Rugby Club last week with 6 teams from 5 schools participating throughout the day.
The U14 boys division was tightly contested all day, with the top three teams finishing on equal points, therefore it came down to points differential to see Hume Central SC take on Glenroy College. In a tough game, Glenroy College came out on top 15-10.
In the U16 boys division we had William Ruthven SC 1 take on William Ruthven SC 2 in a series of three games throughout the day. The school is new to rugby and so it was great to see the boys take on the challenge against each other, we look forward to having them involved again next year and building the U16 division.
On behalf of the Development Team we would like to thank all staff, referees and volunteers who helped with the running of the day and particularly extend our gratitude to the schools, teachers and players for participating in this event. A big thanks must go to Northern Rugby Club for hosting us and running a canteen on the day.
