Historic Fountain Gate Secondary College/Rugby Victoria Traineeship Announced

Rugby Victoria and Fountain Gate Secondary College are pleased to announce a new Traineeship Program to be launched in 2019.

The Traineeship program provides a Year 12 school leaver with the opportunity to continue their study whilst stepping in to the workforce as a Participation Officer with Rugby Victoria. Fountain Gate Secondary College in conjunction with Rugby Victoria and the Melbourne Rebels has delivered a successful Rugby Academy program at the College for the past four years.

The Academy program has three tiers: Pre-Academy Year 7 to 8 Middle School Academy – Year 9 Smart Rugby and Year 10 students study Cert II in Sport and Recreation Senior Academy - Year 11 & 12 students study a Cert III in Sport and Recreation. The Traineeship will be a natural extension of the academy program and the successful candidate will study a Cert IV in Sport and Recreation or Sport Development.

Rugby Victoria and Fountain Gate Secondary College are pleased to announce that Ray Murray has been offered the Traineeship in 2019. Ray is an Australian student of Maori descent with a passion for Rugby and training. He was a student of the Rugby Academy at Fountain Gate Secondary College from 2016 – 2018 attaining a Certificate II and Certificate III in Sport and Recreation during this time. Ray is hard working, passionate and focussed on his goals.
